Systematic, analytical. Very good!Julie Onghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11536108012338688732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158705902053871236.post-76946646741968074342009-07-14T19:24:01.821+08:002009-07-14T19:24:01.821+08:00You've pulled up well.
Pretty lucky this year...You've pulled up well.

Pretty lucky this year with the weather at GC - last year it was quite a bit warmer.

The 87-88% runners might be those coming off big mileage, then with fresh legs from a taper, are able to push those HRs. Then again, maybe you did go out conservatively.

Might be worth testing your max again, as maybe it's down a bit.

Anyway, sub-3 is a possibility, that's for sure!Ewenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01093209634556111656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158705902053871236.post-17827275289712078642009-07-13T06:50:49.266+08:002009-07-13T06:50:49.266+08:00Seoul in March sounds good! You are far from the average joes!Samurai Runninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12295160713705142193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158705902053871236.post-88113808570315510332009-07-12T22:30:32.200+08:002009-07-12T22:30:32.200+08:00good to see you straight back into it, admire that...good to see you straight back into it, admire that...nice race on the sunday...would expect that for at least a week or three, you will lack some zip due to recovery from the Marathon...
some very interesting physiological discussion at the beginning there in your "post mortem" of gold coast...

My 2 cents; You will know this better than i will, but sounds to me like you didn't attack enough as you were not used to running at sub 3 hr pace, but due to the lower temps and less humidity?, you were capable? of the sub 3 maybe. If the HR was not over 170, then you probably could have worked harder thats my first thought...
So suspect you were up to the sub 3, just needed something to push you a bit harder...hopefully, yourself, clown and Epi can finally hit the elusive sub 3 soon. I think we all know its there.

Good race on the sunday especially only one week after the marathon. All the best with easing back into some good prep for the Army Half.trailblazer777https://www.blogger.com/profile/15260445561233341753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2158705902053871236.post-61798209661101617072009-07-12T18:29:14.255+08:002009-07-12T18:29:14.255+08:00Great to hear you've recovered well and nice e...Great to hear you've recovered well and nice effort in today's race.

Come and join us in Perth next next year, it can be the 3 muskuteers running together again and all sub 3 :).Clownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10576984522794206674noreply@blogger.com
